Where I stayed

With Yolan and Laron for 9 days

Yolan and Laron had the welcome mat out the week of Thanksgiving. We were able to recover from the move ordeal and totally recharge. Thanksgiving morning, Laron and Dave were invited to play touch football with our nieces husbands' church group. They have the "Turkey Bowl" event every year - same time same place. Yolan and I arrived later to watch the game and had fun catching up on things with Noel and Skyj as we cheered the boys on.

Yolan prepared a fantastic thanksgiving turkey with trimmings, we especially savored it, not knowing when we'll experience that again. Nine days flew by. We got my car oiled and greased , new brakes and new tires installed. Dave helped Yolan make a frame for huge painting she bought and with a few other odds and ends around the house that needed a handyman's attention. With the help of our input we managed to rearrange all the furniture.....8 eyes are better than 4!! They have a cozy place on the 11th floor with expansive view of Alexandria and DC in the distance. They even have a glimpse of the Potomac River.

By December 4, refreshed and reloaded we were ready to begin the journey to California, via Florida...
