After arather quiet Hogmanay, what I didn't realise was the in the highlands everyone goes home at 11pm as they need to be int heir own home for midnight. Hence midnight itself was a fizzer however we had a good night met many people form all over the UK. The pub had a guy on a guitar singing a variety of songs and a girl playinga fiddle so that was good too.

This morning after a hearty breakfast we headed to  Mallaig to have a look around on arrival with a whiiff of petrol in the tank we discovered that there were no petrol station open anywhere except Fort William so with the petrol light flashing we headed the 35 miles to Fort William with our fingers crossed and legs crossed and sailed into the Petrol Station with the tank well and truely empty.

We then had a look around and discovered the Highland Centre was open so we ventured in to sample their wares. After all this adventure we headed home before dark.

So we will now be extra sure to have the tank full every day ( I know Liz I can hear you on my shoulder quoting your Dad :-) )

Amazing I had no idea my powers of telepathy travelled so far.
It's a bit like Rockingham in the days of petrol sation rostering, just a bit further to go. Had you got as far as tossing for who would push???
