"Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum, and every Sabbath day he went into the Synagogue and taught the people." (Mark 1:21) "When Jesus heard that John had been put
in prison, he returned to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Napthali." (Matthew 4:12-13)
Kfar Nahum (Hebrew, Capernaum) was the center of Yeshua's (Hebrew, Jesus) activities in the Galilee and his town during that time. Yeshua taught in the local synagogue. It was also the home town of the apostles Peter, James, Andrew and John, and the tax collector Matthew.
