We decided to drive a little north to see Nelson, who was stationed at a nuclear power plant in the area. Nelson is one of my former students who signed up with the National Guard so he could get college money, but was put into active duty after September 11th. I haven't talked to him in a while and the last time I did, he told me they were sending him to Afghanistan (this is AFTER he's already been to Iraq).
