Helllo again! I have been off to Victoria for the weekend and I had an amazing time out there!

The capital of British Columbia is a little pearl in the Pacific Ocean that I have been exploring and that I will never forget.

Everything starting from the hotel to the visits that we were making was extremely nice!

I have been visiting an exhibition of old boats in the harbour, the Legislature building, The Royal BC museum and the China town. Not to mention about whale watching and all the adrenaline that I have been experiencing on the deck while speeding like crazy while getting wet and feeling like flying over the ocean.

The China Town tour was fascinating because of a really good story teller being the guide. I found out so many interesting things about the Chineese culture and their traditions, their architecture, their ghosts..just by listening like a child to the guide's story.

Have you ever known that many traditions that they have are based on the assumption that every soul could be a ghost? Or..have you ever known that in room no.5 at the hotel we were living at there were supposed to be ghosts who can open the TV during the night, even if the girl who was sitting in that room was pretty sure she switched it off before going to bed.

The guy who was telling us all these things was obviously well prepared and mysterious and we all loved his stories!

Experiencing so many things about a new culture can be overwhelming sometimes…I am still having on my mind the moment when Vaida and I were jumping on the beds like 2 children or the moment when I took my first steps into the Pacific Ocean! The water was extremely cold but the feeling of being there was thrilling!

Even if Victoria is considered to be a young city I guess the architecture of the buildings that shape the city makes it stand out and ready to tell a new story.

I loved the early mornings and the late nights…even the moment when the security guy from the hotel told our group that he’s gonna call the police if we continue partying. We flipped the coin and we found funnier things to do such as late night pillow fights and playing in the park with one of the funniest baby that I have ever met!

At the end of the trip while we took the ferry back to Vancouver some crazy pictures have been taken and the German guys have been teaching me essential German expressions that I should now. Du bist ein ziemlich gut junge! I’d love to say this using the plural guys…but I guess I still need to practice a bit! Ha-ha!

I did the same with my new friend from Holland (Joshua) and now whenever I feel like hearing some Romanian he’s always there happily asking:"Ciiii faciiiii?”

Now…sitting down at my desk and remembering all the great days that I have been through…I can only say that I am happy to be part of this exchange group and I am really looking forward to our next trip!
