Choosing courses for the exchange semester was pretty nerve racking, as I didn't want to choose the wrong thing.

I had sooo many options from which I could make great combinations so I decided to take it easy while asking myself what I really wanted. Had to bear in mind that I needed to reach 30 ECTS points and the Canadian grading system is a bit different from the Danish one(I’ve never mentioned the weird way Danes use to asses our results. Well, they have the so-called 7-scale system with the following grades: -3, 0, 2, 4, 7, 10, and 12).

Needless to say the ECTS’s system varies as well. For example 3 points in the Canadian system equal 6 ECTS points in the Danish system.

So, I sort of figured out the compulsory credits and came up with the following email/choices:

 Hello Miquela,

I need to have 30 ECTS in the Danish system. I would like to do the following programs with the following courses (they are listed in the order of my preference). If there’s no place at one of the programs I chose more, so that I can fit in another program.

Marketing Management (Communications and Entrepreneurship)

MKTG 3339- Public Relations and Event Marketing (10 ECTS)

MKTG 3417- Advertising, design and production (6 ECTS)

Social Media Marketing (Part-Time programs)

MKTG 1552 - Social Media Marketing (6 ECTS)

Media Techniques and Marketing Communications (Part-Time programs)

                     MKTG 3322 - Promotional strategies 3 (6 ECTS)

Broadcast and Media Communications - Broadcast Journalism
BCST 2248 - Online Journalism – (6 ECTS)

BCST 1148 -Interviewing for Radio and Television – (6 ECTS)

Marketing Management (Tourism)

TOUR 3410- Event Management-(6 ECTS)

I am looking forward to your reply.

Kind regards,

Mianda Galan

What I hate the most about the communication between me and the university in Canada is that they answer, but they do it soooo late. So a few days ago I found out that I will attend only evening classes and I have to switch some courses according to the part- time programs.

It turned out to be a good decision as I reconsidered my options and here’s my second email:

Social Media Marketing (Part-Time programs)

MKTG 3418- Advertising Design Production (6 ECTS)

MKTG 1552 - Social Media Marketing (6 ECTS)

Broadcast and Media Communications - Broadcast Journalism
BCST 1148 -Interviewing for Radio and Television – (6 ECTS)

                      Broadcast and Media Communications-Television

BCST 2223 -TV Production Planning (6 ECTS)

                      Marketing Management (Marketing Communications Option)

MKTG 4434 -Brand From The Inside – Out (6 ECTS)

I am very much looking forward to get this courses accepted in the evening time and be an actual part of them.  They are going to be great! I’m sure!

AND guess what? According to the Danish sayings I am a *B menneske* i.e a B-person who usually feels fresh only after 10 in the morning and does not have as much energy because he/she needs time to wake up.

All in all it all turned out to be a good piece of news and now I feel that choosing my own courses was fun and easy + advantages popped out of nowhere! On the way some of the courses slightly changed but overall I believe they are totally my cup of tea!

I will really try my best to be an implicated and great student ,as always ( ha-ha) and I promise that once I get there I’ll write about all my experiences in the class wholeheartedly!

When I like something I usually put all of my spirit into the work I am doing and I am definitely ready to do so in Canada!

Hugs!
