Hi Everybody,
Well today started out wet and tiring, spent the night on Brushkana River and didn't get a lot of sleep, oh yea also it rained. Anyway packed up a wet camp and headed into Cantwell and then down to Creekside Café for something hot to eat and use the internet. Afterward it was up to Denali park where I am spending the next couple of days. I am tired of catching Grayling so the next couple of days I will explore the area around and in Denali.
Got to the cabin and got checked in the I was off to the Park checked out the Bus schedules and then rode out to the 15 mile mark, as far as the public can drive. It is absolutely magnificent to be sure. Pictures and words cannot do this area justice it is one of the few places that is truly awe inspiring. Everywhere you look the beauty of the Park is unbelievable, you want to take a photo of everything and you realize that you cannot capture it with a photograph or description.
I still took many photos that I hope gives just a glimpse of the grandeur of this place, it is truly special. Afterward I rode out to Healy to check out the Stampede Trail, for those of you that don’t know this was where Chris McCanless wound up starving to death in an abandoned school bus and a movie was later made out of his story from the book" Into the Wild” Unfortunately I was only able to ride out about 4 miles before the river stopped me, the area is very rugged and is on the backside of Denali Park. It is interesting so check it out.
Then it was by the store to pu a sandwich and back to the cabin, so for all you Denali lovers tonights post is all about Denali and Denali Photos
Godspeed
Mik
