Santa Cruz....what to say... Lake Atilan is a giant, spent volcano - filled. Some 15 kms long and 10 kms wide, there are plenty of different villages and travellers hangouts lining the rim. Our mates, Charlotte and James, stayed/worked at the Iguana Perdida a few years ago, so we already had our accomodation decided. Only a short boat ride from 'pana' the Iguana is pretty much right on the water with the town of Santa Cruz a further 20 minutes up the hill. Super scenic (the view encompasses two volcano cones on the opposite side of the lake) and really well set up.
