3 1/2 hour drive from airport to hotel. Volcano lodge at the base of arenal volcano. The ride was very bumpy but the drivers very nice. Had a great lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Very nice people and great food. Stopped at a big lake for a photo op. could see a volcano in background.
