The actual Dynamic Earth and Big Nickel

So I went. I went to Dynamic Earth. It took two hours to walk across town, walk up an entrance ramp to a highway but I got to see the second best tourist attraction in Sudbury. Again similar to Science North it was modern. The exhibits showed the history and method of mining with different types of devices. Some displays had a touch screen, some had simple flaps that underneath was the information for the word on top. A couple exhibits didn't hold much interest for me because I am not really into science or rocks presented in the traditional sense. But there were three exhibits that caught my interest. The first was called the Nickel City story. This exhibit was the first one I went into and I was overwhelmed. First using something similar to hologram technology, a man who introduced himself as Joe appeared in the middle of a real set. The exhibit had a video screen on either side of Joe with artifacts randomly placed in front of him. Joe told the story of Sudbury as a barber who had heard it all first hand. As a history buff I ate it up. Then I went on the underground tour. But I will have to stop there because I got into my room at 11 am and I have to get up at 4 am tomorrow so I will update everyone Thursday as I am traveling on the train all day tomorrow with no Wifi network. But I will leave you with some photos.
