Left Toulon on the 17th around lunch, went to the markets beforehand... fooooood!!!! All a great idea when you're buying, not so good when you're carting it back to the boat.
Outside the port is the military, all the naval boats are massif. Stopped a few hours out near an island for a swim, then the long and relaxing haul to Corsica.
Pretty much, eat... read... sleep... repeat!
Jellyfish galore which looked like lolly wrappers floating past, but apparently pack a mean bite. Luna fish made an appearance, sunbathing on top of the water and two dolphins cruised past but didn't want to play. Someone always had to be awake during the night to keep us out of the way of the huge ferries that cruised past, you could see them coming from miles away!! Harnesses were worn too just in case you decided to go for an unplanned night time swim.
Made it to land about 5.30pm on the 18th, dammit no swimming (well maybe a quick jump in) as there were jellies of a different conventional kind.
Temperature has been a mild 36 degrees...
