I know that there is a lot of hype on Marfa...I really don't know why. Marfa seems like a hip place for no apparent reason other than that hip people have convinced other hip people that it is hip....so what it appears to be is a cute little town stuck in the middle of nowhere Texas...which in some way makes it hip I guess.
We went for a stroll, stayed in a dump of an RV camp, and dreamed of being back in Big Bend.
Oh yes, as tradition would have it, we had a last minute shot of tequila and jumped off the curb in downtown Marfa to bring in the Danish New Year at 4 p.m. sharp. As for the U.S. New Year - we slept right through it.
