Flew British Caledonian on the way back (also a VC10). Burst a nose wheel on landing in Nairobi. Father was watching them change the tyre and was about to point out that they hadn't chocked the wheels before jacking the plane up. Mother said "Dont; be silly, they know what they're doing", to which he said.. "Then why aren't the stairs in line with the door anymore?"
