Prambanan was built shortly after Borobodur and is it's Hindu equivalent. It was also abandoned shortly after it was finished. It's more impressive if you use your imagination. It hasn't been fully restored yet and it was damaged in some earthquake in 2005, such is Indonesia. It has a very Angkor feel, but without the jungle. I imagine it was surrounded by rice terraces, but since has been replaced by a park. The locals don't appreciate how beautiful their rice fields are. These two sites are located close enough to each other that we saw them on the same day on some tour bus. Enjoy the pictures.
