What a day!! Well we spent all of 10 hours in Mauritius and all I saw was the beautiful Ocean. When we docked a group of 40 of us headed strait to a catamaran that we had rented ahead of time. We took a 20 minute bus ride to the shore and boarded a large lime green catamaran along with three other groups of students who had also arranged to rent a catamaran for the day. The day consisted of swimming in the beautiful blue, but extremely salty water, drinking lots of beer and local rum, lots of laughs, and chowin down on some delicious grilled chicken made right on the back of our boat! It was such a fun day, spent with people who I feel like I have known for years. We luckily made it back for ship time at 6pm and continued our party upstairs on the 7th deck by the pool where we danced and sang to country music! It was nice to have a pit stop during our long journey up to India. Now we are all preparing ourselves for the "intenseness" of India. All I have been hearing about the country is how much “shock” I will be in when we arrive, I guess time will tell!
