Hit the 1000 mile mark on the way here and finally crossed the Mississippi River, then rolled into the hotel around midnight.

Best $20 spent on the trip went to Kristen who washed our laundry while we slept. Three cheers for Kristen!

Unfortunately, I didn't plan for a Sunday in Minneapolis. The Mall of America didn't open until 11, so we got to sleep in, but we'll pay for this later, and we sufferred our second itinerary fatality: Sioux Falls, SD.

We visited the Mall of America (did you know this was developed by 2 Iranians?). We spent most of our time in the 7-acre, indoor Nickelodeon Amusement Park, including some surprisingly good roller coasters. Our favorite was Spongebob's Glove Park coaster, with a 180-degree vertical drop.

Grant scored some Lego loot, and the girls got some Peep souvenirs. All in all, it was pretty fun, although a certain male figure did get upset when we were falsely imprisoned by the amusement park which wasted our time and woulldn't let us out of the caged waiting area. It was like a live law school exam anyway, it took two coaster rides to calm down after that, and a sincere hug from Grant. Thanks, G-Man, and sorry to everyone else.

We're off to Fargo next!
