The story here is the beautiful drive from Fargo, because we got here past midnight. On the way from Fargo, basically I-29 South, we saw huge fields of hay, wheat, corn, sunflowers, and other crops. Some, but not much livestock and, sadly, no buffalo. We also had some wicked crosswinds and a torrential downpour, amazing lightning show, at least 3 different rainbows, and a beautiful sunset. We had "dinner" in Watertown, South Dakota (burgers for the boys, cereal for the girls, they just couldn't bear to eat fast food, and we didn't have time for slow food!).
With 1600 miles driven, we're past the 1/3rd mark and have survived the first of two hard driving days. Tomorrow we sleep in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Trust me, it's far!
