Today was rental car day! We woke up really early, got a rental car, packed the car with some overnight clothes and whatever food I could make out of the little we bought at the grocery store (for those of you that hadn't talked to me yet, Iceland is the MOST expensive place I've ever been to in my life!!!) and hit the road. Since Iceland was so expensive, we calculated that it would be more expensive for two of us to see any of the tours offered so we hit the road and saw everything and more for ourselves. On this all day road trip we saw: horses, sheep, active geisers, the famous Gulfoss waterfalls, other waterfalls, a volcano crater, the famous volcano that just recently errupted and caused tons of European travel delays, glaciers and icebergs!
