Hello! I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing weekend :) I know I did!

After sleeping in on Saturday morning, Helen, Doug, Tina and I went shopping in Boulder. No, Dad, I didn't buy anything :) But we might go back sometime later this week to get a Colorado University t-shirt. I figured that if I'm going to be in Colorado for a month, I better get some type of useful souvenir. And clothes are always useful :)

After a late lunch, we headed back to Broomfield (Boulder is only about 15 minutes away from Broomfield). Doug, Tina and Millie went to Maddie's soccer game. She is a great soccer player and was in an all-state game (which her team won!). Helen met up with some friends from Ethiopia who coincidentally live in a nearby town. I had the house to myself :) I took a nap and watched CSI and SVU marathons. When the family and Helen got home, we rented Confessions of a Shopaholic and Marley & Me. We watched Confessions... first but were too tired to watch the second movie so we decided to watch it the next day (Sunday). If you haven't seen Confessions of a Shopaholic I would highly encourage it :) It's a such a cute movie!

On Sunday morning we went to church. It was a fun service because their youth just got back from the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans (Doug and Tina were chaperones) and it was fun to swap stories of when I went, both as a participant and as a volunteer. After church we went to a great Mexican restaurant for lunch. We had planned on watching Marley & Me after lunch but everyone was tired and took naps! I was the only one awake (besides Doug, who was doing lawn work outside) so I started watching some t.v. After Doug came inside, we started the movie and then Millie joined up. We all got a little choked up :) It made me think of Brady (our family poodle) and how much I miss him.

To cap off a fabulous weekend, we had a BBQ with next door neighbors, Greg and Megan, their two young children, the 3 UWP students that are staying with them, and Megan's parents. We had a great supper of hamburgers, hotdogs, corn-on-the-cob and salads with homemade cherry cobbler and homemade (Yes! Tina made it!) cherry chocolate chip ice cream. It was delicious! Then we had a bonfire and Yuhme, one of Greg and Megan's UWP students, started to draw pictures using the ash from the fire. They are phenomenal :) She is a talented artist!

I put up some pictures of the weekend and OF COURSE, had a take a picture of myself with my Cobber beanie and an ear of corn. It's only natural :)

We are doing full run-through rehearsals of the show this week! I'm getting really excited! It's really happening! :)

Hope everyone is well :) Hugs and love all around!
