We started the day with a walk on the Coast if Ill Winds which had a couple of uphill section but was mostly following the coast to see the Fur Seal colony. I had to admit to not seeing a lot of the scenery as I was too busy chatting to Lisa and Chantelle (what a surprise!) but the seals were fun to watch. The next stop was to look at the Pancake Rocks which supposedly look like a pile of pancakes. To me they looked like my mum's airing cupboard with pile of towels everywhere.

Tonight is party night as we stop in the middle of nowhere at what is affectionately known as the "Poo Pub" for a fancy dress party. Flea, our guide gave us the theme, "come as something beginning with 'S'" Obviously this meant James, Chantelle, Lisa, Ross and myself had to come as The Spice Girls (don't ask but it seemed logical at the time!). So we had a manic hour and a half in Greymouth raiding all the stores for Spice Girls costumes. I even found a leopard print top in Warehouse for $7 - I was coming as Scary Spice obviously. Lisa was our Ginger Spice, Chantelle was Posh, James came as Baby and Ross as Sporty. (If you ask me the guys enjoyed dressing too much as spice girls!) It was the first time I've put on any make up in 5 months. It was so great to see how much effort people had gone to despite only having a couple of hours to prepare. We had sheriffs, Superman, sheep, stars, soldiers, small child, Saxons, spiders, S+M Slave, Shepherds and loads more. And Yes when the spice girls came on we got up and "Swung it, Shaked It, Moved It, Made It"!

I was sharing bottles of wine with Lisa and we started before dinner so by the end of the night we had had 4 bottles and were very merry. Best time I've had in a while!
