We got up early and headed out to Old San Juan, a 2 hr drive back to almost were our trip began, but in the historical district. Can't wait to see it. We said good-bye to 1 of the Inn Keepers, Mark and started out of Rincon. We tried to stop by a local souvenir shop that supposedly had better souvenirs than a I love Puerto Rico shirt, but it was closed yet again. :(  Maybe we'll order something from there website.
We started out with the top off the Jeep it was 91 degrees and only 9am, gonna be another hot one today! On the way back we came across the Indian head carving in the side of a hill and stopped for a quick pic, since we buzzed by it on the way there.
Once we were about 20 mins from Old San Juan, a few rain clouds rolled in & we felt a few sprinkles so we stopped & put the top back on. It never rained more than a few drops but we didn't want to get drenched. Once we arrived at Old San Juan, we made a wrong turn, bc I didn't think OSJ could be that way! LOL But after not seeing any cobblestone streets, I figured we should turn around and give the GPS another shot. After turning down a road that we thought was going to dead end... there it was Beautiful Old San Juan and it narrow, cobblestone streets and awesome architectural buildings.
We quickly found the parking garage & started walking to find our hotel. We found it a few blocks away! The hotel lobby was on the 2nd floor and no elevator. Da House hotel was really neat. Amazing marble stairs & floors, beautiful paintings. Each room is named after a different painter and that persons artworks are displayed inside that room. We got to our room and it was very simple, (no TV), We checked out the 4th floor, which led to a rooftop terrace that had a hot tub.
We headed out to start doing the touristy stuff. We walked about 10-15 miles, it felt like, but saw most of the city that afternoon. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe for lunch, and ate dinner at the Old Harbor Brewery. I had some yummy lobster there, while Jamie had ribs.
After that we went for a drink at Senor Frogs. Then back to the hotel to relax in the hottub!
