What I did
Our room was one of the "pool access" rooms that allowed us to walk out of our sliding door and directly into the L-shaped pool. This was lovely and relaxing...except when a Chinese family of 20 were in the pool screaming and talking at an obnoxiously loud volume.
While in Koh Lanta, we decided to take a boat tour to some additional islands to snorkel, swim, and see the much talked about Emerald Cave
After spending some time to take pictures and relax, we put our jackets back on and held on to one another to get back through the cave and swim to the boat. Once boarded, we went to another island to snorkel and then ended our trip on a small island with lunch and picture perfect beach and water. They had prepared a lunch of green curry with chicken, rice, and veggies. Great way to end a tour. We headed back to Koh Lanta after spending an hour and a half on the small island.
The next few days on the island were spent exploring and relaxing
On the 23rd, we flew back to Bangkok and got our vaccines at the most beautiful hospital I've ever been to! It was a one stop shop: dental, surgery, dermatology, pediatrics, pharmacy, restaurant, and pretty much everything else you could want. Wes got a dental cleaning for $32, I had a consultation with the dermatologist and got some creams that would be easily over $500 in the States all for $40. Our vaccines were inexpensive and quick as well and they spoke very good English. Little did I know that Thailand happens to be known for their world class hospitals. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the views of the city before we met up with our group the next morning.
