soooooo friggin tired. once more, i'm at an internet cafe, this time in leicester square in london, UK. i'm really, really worn out from this trip! tonya and i were saying yesterday how much we would like to just skip the UK and go home and sleep for a few days.. haha. obviously, we were mostly kidding, since it's london, and another stamp on our passports! i really dont feel like typing for too long... lets see, today i got up at 3:30am since we had to leave the hotel for the airport at 5. the flight was about 2 hours and i slept like an hour of it. then we spent about 2 hours toting our 50lb luggage and 20 pound backpacks all over london, taking a bus to liverpool (the BEATLES!) and then the tube, changing lines twice and having to lift our luggage up flights of stairs.. lol. it was extremely tiring, on toip of the fact that we have been go, go, go the past 9 days with literally almost no time to rest. it's been nice, but i am really ready to get home. today we went on the London Eye, and we got our own special car with some nice champagne. oh my god, its amazing to be in a city like this, where i am seeing things i have heard of and seen on tv and read about in books my entire life. when i saw westminster abbey, like, i cried. haha. its really amazing. buckingham palace, waterloo bridge, the parliament building, big ben, thames river, the list goes on. i'm really very overwhelmed. we are staying at st. martin's lane, and its the coolest hotel i think i've ever seen. like, everything is white in the room and we have colored lighting so standing outside at night the building is multicolored. then you can barely even recognize the bathrooms. everything is hidden, like the shower and the bathroom stall, so all you see is the sink.. anyway, its cool. tomottow we are going to the london tower and to see mary poppins at the theatre. we had the craziest asian food tonight, like, it was the best i've ever had, at a place called wagamama. oh, wagamama. yum. oh, and it's nice that everyone here speaks english, too.. haha. i cant even remember how many countless conversations i've had where translation was a problem.. i cant even think anymore. i have to head back and get some rest. sorry for the lack of enthusiasm! like i said, i'm really just exzausted and overwhelmed at the same time. i really miss you guys! see you all in a few days. love.
