Chuncheon and Seoul, Korea Dem Peoples Rep

Hello everyone! Hope everything is well on your side of the world. This entry is from the last 3 weeks. My friend Melanie came to visit us for two and a half weeks. We had a great time and here are some things we did. We brought Mel to try all kinds of food here. We were out for dinner almost every night. We went out to some bars, a singing room and did a some tourist stuff. We went to the Ice Festival which was about an hour away from our city. This festival is apparently one of the biggest ones in South Korea. You will see in the pictures. It was pretty neat. Mel and I went skiing in Gangcheon one day. The last weekend she was here we went to Seoul for two days with another teacher, Jessica. We went to see a Palace, and went to a Traditional Korean Dance show which was really fun to see. Unfortunately we couldn't take pictures during the show. The show consisted of traditional dances and traditional instrument playing. The dancers were all dressed in traditional clothes. It was one of the coolest things I have done since I have been here. We met two Japanese girls and a tour guide while we were there. We ended up going to a Jazz club with them afterwards. There was a live Jazz band that was really good. We slept over night, and the next day we did A LOT of shopping. Well, that was Mel's visit in a nutshell. It was great having her here and showing her our life in South Korea.
Also, Ian bought a scooter, which has been and convenient so far. Enjoy the pictures!
