Where I stayed
Just sent off yesterday's post. Actually, I just wrote it using the notes I put on last night. I am on the train headed to Marylebone station. Got to find my hotel for the next three nights. So, on to the next adventure!
More this evening. Maybe!
Well it seems I have wifi in my room! Don't think that is supposed to be, but it is.
Started out this morning in Warwick! So cool. Huge castle!!! Didn't go in, but looked around outside and walked around town. Fantastic church!!!! St. Mary's. As usual Henry VIII made them whitewash the interior. ( he also had a lot of the churches and abbeys destroyed. ) Then Cromwell's bunch came along and defamed the church buildings. They destroyed hundreds of stained glass windows.
Had lunch in an ancient tea room- leek and potato soup, yummy on a brisk day! Then it was time to head to the train station.
I arrives at the hotel with no problem. It is an old building. The rooms have been updated. Not sure about how the noise is going to be tonight. I am very near the elevator in a closet! Very small single room and like everything in London, not cheap. I got settled and then went for a walk in Kensington Garden. It is a block away from the hotel. It is huge. I found the Peter Pan statue. That is about the only thing I was interested in seeing in the gardens. That and people watching. Lots of people running, pushing prams, or just spending time hanging out.
On way back to the hotel I found a Greek restaurant and had a good meal, but feel that this is the first time I have been taken advantage of. A couple of things were brought to the table that I didn't request but got charged for. Like bread and a side dish. Oh well, it tasted good.
Also walked a short way down Queensway. It was like walking in the mall with more restaurants and ethnicities.
Going to read a bit and hopefully get to sleep earlier than I have been.
Nite All!

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of your posts! Truly a trip of a lifetime. Melanie, I am so happy that you are experiencing this.
You really do write your travels well!! I know you have left some of the parts out, but hope to hear them filled in later.
Enjoying your blog!
I have a picture of statue of Peter Pan too.
I love the photo of Warwick Castle. I toured it many years ago. Had a beautiful view of the river and town from one of the rooms.
