Where I stayed
Tim & Karen's Abode
Slept in this morning. Lovely!
Yesterday Karen and I went to Rye. We were met there by one of her friends, Kareema. What a grand little town. It is very close to the sea. In fact we went to the seaside before we headed home. Kareema and I watched a really neat presentation about the history of Rye. It used a model of the city which was made by a couple - it took 4 years to build. Only a small portion of the wall added during medieval times is still standing. It has a neat little museum and a delicious bakery named Simon the Pieman.
Fun Day!!
As I said, today started late. Slow and easy. This afternoon we first visited a Fantatic garden center. If you want or need something for the garden you can find it there! Just wonderful!!
After we dropped off the purchases ( no I didn't buy any plants to try to get through immigration) Karen and I headed to Chiddingstone. First mention of this small area was in 485, or there about. I can't remember exact date.
Also got my reservations for last few days in London, before I leave for Florence.
Now Karen is in the kitchen cooking dinner and I am headed to help.
See ya later. Not sure what access I will have for the next few days so will do what I can! Heading to Alveston to stay with Brian and Iris Johnson and see what I can learn about my Willan ancestors.
