Where I stayed
The Old Success Inn; Sennen, Cornwall, England
Woke early and decided to start my day. Breakfast at the hotel and then decided to walk to Paddington Station because on the map I found one of the streets where my Jarvis ancestors lived. Was really nice to be out early before the crowds.
Loved riding the train. Day was wet and gray, but what matter. It is what it is!
Paul and Pauline were waiting
Drat, I wrote a bunch more and it didn't save. So I will try to get around to finishing later -- maybe.
Well, I have no clue what I wrote earlier, so will just say that The train ride to Truro was lovely! At the first stop two ladies from Cornwall got on the train and sat next to me. They had been to Philadelphia to visit one of their daughters , spent a couple of days in NYC and were headed home. The trip is about 4 hours so we had a nice visit on the way down. To night when I got back to the Inn one of them, Jane, had brought my sunglasses by since I had mentioned how the glare bothered my eyes and she found them on the floor of the train after I got off. I was out with Paul, Pauline, David and Beryl (They are friends of P & P).
Had supper at Logan Rock Inn.. I had fresh spring lamb with mint sauce. So nice! Then back to David and Beryl's for a little more fellowship.
Lovely day!
