Okay so I know that I boasted that this travelogue would be filled with images of snowy peaks but so far there haven't really been any. I am sorry for that so now finally, here are some amazing shots from here on out of snowy peaks that will make any back country enthusiast drool!
I went on this trip because I hadn't had the chance to do much skiing in New Zealand yet, much less see the country at all. So when a friend said they were heading down towards Wanaka, where the some of the best skiing in New Zealand can be found, I informed him he was taking me along! I ended up having to leave work at Rainbow ski field early and without much notice but I didn't feel to bad after everything that I had gone through there.
So when I got to Wanaka it was an interesting town all comprised of hard core skiers and boarders. Goggle tans were extremely common there! For my first day I went to Trebble Cone Ski field and fell in love with it's terrain sooooo much that I didn't feel the need to check out any of the other ski fields around. Plus everyone that I talked to confirmed that TC had the best skiing available for the area. TC has amazing chutes that form natural half pipes and TC also offers what is possibly some of the steepest terrain I had skied on yet!
Enjoy drooling over these awesome pics!
