I'm not going to elaborate much because we have to be at the airport in 8 hours and I need to sleep. The past couple of days we have attended a dance concert and a choir/orchestra concert, met some of the extended Schepers family and gone on a genuine outing by ourselves! We even bought a train ticket!
Friday night all the girls went to the ballet at Amelie's school. Since her school specializes in dance it was impressive. Friday was also the day we went out by ourselves and wandered around for a bit. Annette drove us to Kettwig and dropped us off after showing us where the train station was.  We bought lunch at a market from a man who said he spoke german, english, french, and latin. A 10 year old boy helped us buy our train ticket to Werden where we looked at an old church before returning to Stadtwald.
Saturday we went to Amelie's choir concert in the afternoon and then Kevin and I went with Amelie and two of her friends, Sara and Cristina, to Starbucks and then to Sara's house to make supper (really good spaghetti).
Today we packed in the morning after figuring out laundry and what belonged to whom. In the afternoon the adults went on a walk and the kids went to the forest near the house where you can run or walk or ride bike. They also have a "fitness circle" which is like a bunch of stations with different activities you can do. I really liked it. It was full of people of all ages. After we returned home we went to visit with Jo's mother. She still lives in the house where Jo grew up. We took her to Jo's sister's house where we met Jo's sister Claudia, her husband and their daughter. They were all very fun to talk to and it was good to see who Amelie had been talking about.
Our last activity was dinner at an Irish pub. We wanted to take the Schepers out and Annette said this would be a good transition for us. I ordered (in English)  Sri Lankan chicken curry at an Irish pub in Germany. Pretty cool, eh?
I'm really sorry I neglected this, but we've been having such a good time I have a hard time pausing to write. As most of you know, our next stop is Northern England with the Hodgsons. It will be sad to leave Amelie and Germany, but good to see the Hodgsons and hear English again.
