So I am pretty much in the middle of nowhere right now but 30mins drive away they do have the internet so hopefully I'll get onto this once or twice a week. I am staying with a couple who do lots of work in the community so its not just about the monkeys! they are involved with helping out in the local school and also developing the community. as a result of their hard work they local chief gave them a place to live after the land claim and given him back his land. as a result they are now looking after 20000 acres and I get to stay right in the middle! They have loads of animals at the house including 24 vervet monkeys of which 8 are caged and the rest run freely around the 'garden.' they bite but not as much as penguins and they keep trying to give me love bites! also there is practically no poo to clean up.

my first day or work was awesome. a neighbour came over as he had no power and needed gas. to say thanks he took me over to one of the other neighbours houses. this invoved getting on a quadbike and going to see their giraffe. I do have pictures but can't upload them until I am back in Jo'burg. Yesterday we went to see the chief's wife which was pretty cool adn I think at some point I'll be staying with a leader to see how the zulu people live. Yes I am pretty much the only white person here! On Saturday the nieghbour is going to take me to see his bushcamp which has lots of natural game and then we will be having a brie (I think we might even shoot what we are eating!)

Anyhow, thats about it for now, I am having an awesome time. And the good thing about starting work at 630am each day is you get to take a break to watch the sunrise!
