Christmas Day!!

Well Christmas day almost started at 6:00am when Matt decided that he wanted to get up. Hahahaha. So it really started at 8:30. We woke up and made an egg, bacon, and pancake breakfast so it would feel like home a little bit. It was great, but still not the same!! We opened our presents from each other and some that we had gotten from home. It was so nice to know some of the presents were from Canada, that was exciting. Than we gave each other our cards. Matt opened his first and than I opened mine. the back page said, you have one more surprise. So he took me upstairs to our roof top (in my PJ's) where he had set up some decorations, that were a bit wind blown but very nice. Than he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Honestly I heard some of the other things he said, but its weird because I was so excited and crying that some of it I didn't hear. He told me after though!! Hahahaha. I was really excited and so happy. We had champagne and called our families and were having a great time until the negotiator and police showed up to talk us out of jumping... Most of you have heard the story by now, it was pretty funny, something we'll remember.
It was such a nice morning. I was worried that Christmas would be lonely, but he made up for it for sure. I am very excited and I can't wait to be married to him.

The rest of the day we just enjoyed and listened to Christmas carols, and ate. We got a roasted duck for Christmas dinner. The stand where we went to buy one he cooked it all up for us in a big wok, with garlic, and fresh basil, as well as the ducks neck, head, feet, and legs cut up too. We found some good pieces, but didn't finish all the weird looking things. Luckily we had bought some stove top stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce. It turned out really well. I couldn't find any pumpkin pie though, so I will have to eat my share when I get home. We had a great Christmas, and we thank everyone for the cards that they sent us. They were greatly appreciated!!
