Well the adventures continue here in Taiwan. Things here are going really well. We ha our first full week of teaching and man are those kids crazy!!!! I teache a class where I have 10 two year olds. The funny part is that we are supposed to teach four new words in a unit which bascially means that two year olds are learning to speak english and recognize flash cards. Actually they have been doing really good, and I already feel in love with all of them. Does anybody mind if I adopt 10 kids into the family???? Our adventures continue with the daily exercises here. This morning we saw a backward bar sit up, which is about 10 feet off the groung. But for this particular move you have to bend your back so far back that it almost breaks off. We also have a new addition to the daily exercises while we are running on the track. We now have the tight rope walker who walks this long piece of cement which is a bit raised for about an hour or so. We are still trying to figure out what this exercise really does. We are working really long hours, about 9 and a half a day, but it's okay. They really work hard here though, so we may have better work discipline when we get home. We checked out a night market the other night which was really fun. You can really buy anything you want at them. They stay open pretty late and they are soooooo busy. We are enjoying the air conditioned apartment during this humidity. We have another schduled typhoon coming this weekend which means we probably won't miss any school. We found a great sushi restaurant the other day so we at least have one good place to eat where we know what most things are. We are missing everyone!!!! We will post pictures soon!!

Greetings from Aurora
Matt and Meg,
I was tempted to call but realize you are likely in class, being 1:30 PM your time.
Meghan,
You'll have to prod Matt. He has yet to respond to the last email which has a series of questions. Understand that both of you have limited access time to the net.

Just to let you know, Grampa was operated on this morning. If you think about a 74 year old, type one Diabetic having open heart with a triple Bypass, you might imagine the complications. Five hours later he was brought into ICU on full respitory, where he will be for the next few days. What I can tell you is that it went better then expected, his condition is stable and improving by the hour. Just got in from the hospital, will try and grab some shut eye and head back in the morning.
Peg and I went in last night for a visit with Hayden and he was in great spirits. He especially liked Pete 'The stuffed bunny' that Hayden of his own volition, brought to the hospital to keep his grampa company during his operation and hospital stay.

Even though he was under, I was kidding him about that stubborn Polish blood pulling this one off. The nurses got a chuckle from that one and I got a nod from him.

Will keep you posted on his progress.
Again glad to know that things are well on that end. Miss you both and think of you often.
Love Dad, Peg and Hayden

Hey Guys!!!!
It's so great to hear about all your adventures! I still can't believe you guys are gone for a whole year! Sounds like you are having a great time so far. Cam has been enjoying the crazy exercise stories and you must take some pictures of the crazy shoes for him.
We're moving back to Aurora at the end of the month. I'm still working at Rogers until then, and they are looking at tranferring me to Toronto. Cam is looking for a job too, he's still volunteering with the Senators for now.
So Meg, do they have crazy dance moves there as well? Have you taught anyone to 'back it up' and do they know the Macarena? Maybe you should teach your 'I think we're alone now' dance ! haha
Oh and Matt - Paula (from our floor in Essex) is getting married in December - to some guy who lives in Belgium that she met in JUNE! He doesn't speak english and she abrely speaks french so we think it's a little nuts....
Alright well take care you two! Keep up the updates, we love it!
Jen (and Cam - he's still sleeping)

are you going to get a bike?
Hey meg and matt, sounds insane there, are you guys going to get a bike (scooter/moped more like it) Imagin you picked up a screaming harley or something like that( that would impress them )
Avery and shianne want me to pass on their best, shianne is a bit jealous, in a good way, and remembers all her traveling experiences. She has already started a air fair jar and hopes to be coming out to visit. everytime I do something wrong (in her eyes) I have to put in a buck or two. So it's already enough to pay for her and avery's seat on the plane. Nicole went to visit uncle don. He is planning to visit us all next summer so hopefully you will be back in time and we can all have a big reunion. Is there anything there you guys miss and wish for one of us to send? let me know, take care .

Hi Meg & Matt
This is very neat. I am so glad you both like it so much there...but please watch those darn typhoons!! I can't even tell Matthew about the typhoons or he would have a fit. He is like Shauna was about tornados, every dark cloud and rain he panics!!

Make sure you send us your address so we can start with the purell care package........Love Aunt Cathy
