Most of you who know me know my strange and recent obsession with the World Rock Paper Scissors Society. And I may have even shown you my membership card that officially states that I am officially part of the International Captain Disciplinary Task Force. Good thing it is "international" since i've made my new residence New Zealand.

Without Yahtzee, and being my night off, I found myself watching TV. Lucky for me the Simpsons was on to curb my obsession over finding the missing game (it's like our holy grail these days). And while I was tuned into channel two I saw an ad for a Rock Paper Scissors tournament here in New Zealand. You can only imagine my excitement. They showed clips from the recent World Championships held in Canada in December and thoughts of Molly and me winning a tournament here in New Zealand were overwhemlming.

Turns out, however, that the RPS tourny that they were advertising is to be played on cell phones and is only open to telecom users. Molly and I subscribe to Vodaphone, eliminating us from the disappointing phone game.

Regardless, I had it my mind that I was going to be RPS champion of New Zealand and that dream has been crushed. It's been crushed right along with my dream to beat Molly's intimidating high score.

At least we have the Super Bowl to watch on Monday. Since Molly and I don't support either team (or any team for that matter) there is no way we can be defeated. We'll just cheer for whomever is winning. Good thing football takes a couple hours to play...we'll be so intent on learning the game that we'll only think about yahtzee once or twice.
