*Sleeping in the van in the car park of downtown Auckland
*Megan showering in the ice cold, 2 foot deep lake while Molly chatted with a neighbor while she showered in the solar shower.
*Doing dishes on the driving range with the water from the public toilets and the grounds keeper asking us if we would rather use hot water.
*Sneaking into a hostel in the Bay of Islands just to take a shower.
*Cooking on the gas cooker in a parking lot.
*Molly shaving her legs while sitting on a cooler in a car park in Picton
*Having to clean the dishes in the handicap bathroom because the wok won't fit in a normal sized sink.
*Going for coffee and getting a free meal because we mentioned we lived in the van parked on the other side of the road.
*Eating two dinners because one ended up being free.
*Going for coffee a second night and having a second free meal brought out promptly with our drinks.
*Taking showers at the Super Loo. (The public toilets in the center of town that have showers)
*Taking showers at the Super Loo because we aren't clever enough to find FREE showers.
*Sleeping in the parking lot of a bar.
*Being unable to fit in parking garages because we have surf racks on top of our van and we don't surf.
*Eating a block of cheese for dinner and thinking it's gourmet.
*Asking to just take a shower in a hostel and being turned away.
*Molly being pulled over because the van looked "outrageous" and the cop couldn't believe it was actually registered and up to date.
*Being asked for marajiuna by a 14 year old kid who called himself "Extra Large."
