Quick update. Yesterday I spent the day at Doi Suthep and being thoroughly impressed with the Wat and Buddhist meditation center there, I had inquired about their courses. As it's a fairly renowned program, I really didn't expect to hear anything from them, but lo and behold, I checked my email this morning to find that I've been invited to their meditation proragm at Doi Suthep.

That said - I'll be offline for the next couple of weeks. Tomorrow I'm leaving to go stay at the temple for 10 fun-filled days of learning how to meditate. Not really sure what I've gotten myself into, except that I do know I have to wear all white, can't speak with anyone except my teacher, can't read or write, can't eat solid food after noon and must practice Vipassana meditation 16 hours a day. I know - the vacation you're all dreaming about!
