I spent the first couple hours today visiting with Anna and her house-mates.  I also learned that Anna had once hiked the entire Appalachian trail from Georgia to Maine, so that gave us plenty to talk about.

Next I hopped on the metro and made my way back to Washington Square, near the NYU campus.  My first tour of the day was through the NYU Tisch Drama Department.  The tour was led by a young freshman student and was a very general tour of the department's building.  There didn't seem to be much emphasis on describing the actual curriculum in detail and questions I had weren't exactly well-answered.  I was somewhat curious as to why freshmen students would be leading tours, but I made sure to get the cards of a couple department contacts that I can call in the future with other questions.

I stopped at a restaurant called the Dojo Cafe for lunch before heading to my next tour of the day, a NYU campus tour.  This tour led us through the various buildings around the university's campus and offered a bit more information about the operation of the university.  One of the bigger perks of attending NYU, other than Tisch's great reputation as a drama school, is the school's flexibility in allowing minors and even double majors whenever possible.  They also highly promote study-abroad programs for almost every field of study on offer.  Another plus is, with a little luck, I would also have fully paid tuition at NYU due to their unlimited participation in the yellow ribbon program.  Hopefully, that is a commitment they will continue to renew in the years to come.

After walking around the campus a bit more, I decided to stop at a Famiglia Pizzeria.  Only after I sat down with my food did I start to feel the strange sensation of déjà vu.  After considering it a little further, I realized that I had, in fact, dined at this exact pizzeria when I visited New York over three years ago.  With all the pizza joints in New York, I found it pretty amazing that I should find the same one twice and both times on a complete whim when I just randomly decided to stop for a slice.

Following that little dose of unreality, I took the metro back to Anna's and we continued to visit until it started to get a little later, and I decided it was time I get back on the pavement.  Once rolling, I continued on to Milford, CT.
