Where I stayed
Flying J (Penns Grove, NJ)
Today I ventured into the historic town of New Castle. This city in Delaware has done a lot to maintain the historic ambiance of their town, and although many of the houses are well over a hundred years old, they still provide homes for locals. It was obvious that many of them take a lot of pride in their historic houses and do a lot of work to maintain their appearance.
The museums and other buildings were all closed for Good Friday, so I was forced to enjoy the city from the outside. Luckily, the weather was agreeable, so I took a leisurely stroll along the streets and riverfront while taking some photos.
I spent a couple of hours wandering around New Castle before heading north to Wilmington where I stopped to get a haircut before going to see Clash of the Titans at the nearest cinema. It wasn't a bad movie, but like most, it could have been better.
Following the movie, I decided to see if there was a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant anywhere nearby. I had a bit of a craving, and I was in luck because there was one in Wilmington. It also turns out that their locations all offer free wi-fi. So far, it's the fastest free internet connection I've found anywhere, so I took advantage of it for a few hours to surf the net before heading to a Wal-Mart that was a little closer to tomorrow's intended stop.
