Today was our choice if we wanted to go to Yosemite National Park or if we wanted a free day at the lake. Some people stayed as they were hung over from the night before. Only about 10 of us went to Yosemite.

It was well worth it. We had the most beautiful views of the landscape along the way. It was the coldest I had felt so far on the trip so I tried to wear as many layers as possible.

It wasn't snowing today but there was snow everywhere.

Anita and I decided to explore together and first headed down to the ice skating rink which was closed. We could see these people watching these animals running around and we worked out later that they were Coyote’s.

We headed down to Miracle Lake. On the way I fell over a few times because of the ice. It was rather slippery!!

I had never seen so much snow before. It was really beautiful. We made it to the lake and of course it was frozen over so walked on top of the frozen lake. It was such a beautiful and peaceful place. It would be a great place to see in summer.

We headed back and decided to get some lunch. We didn’t have much time left so we had to head back to the bus which would take us to the Contiki Bus. We were told we had to be on time as the buses couldn’t sit and wait for more that a few minutes. We were freaking that we wouldn’t make it in time but we did. The other group were a bit late and the bus was about to leave.

On the way back we saw some Coyote’s.

After getting back we had to get ready for dinner and for our last night on Contiki, as we were off to San Francisco tomorrow for our last day.

Dinner was at the Pines resort lodge. It was a buffet style meal and was pretty good.

Next we went to the Pines Resort Bar for drinks and some karaoke.

Well let’s say I had a little bit too much to drink and can’t remember most of the night. Ooops!!!

Our group sung to our day song "All these things that I have done" by the killers. People got up and did some karaoke and danced the night away. I had a shot with the girls after a number of vodka and cranberry drinks, and after that it is a bit of a blur……

But I do remember going outside on the balcony as the snow was falling. That was nice.
