Naples/ Pompei, Italy

For some reason my alarm clock didnt work and we were rushed to get up, get dressed, and rush walk to the Roma Termini (Train station). We finally got on the train, which was the wrong one, but enjoyed a luxury ride to Napoli. Once in Naples, we actually met up with our friend John who decided to go to Pompei on his free day as well. We got on the wrong subway and spent an hour trying to find the Pompei Ruins, but when we did ohhh boy was it a treat! Everything is absolutely still intact and way more impressive than anything in Rome, save maybe the Colosseum. Im gonna post a bunch of pictures from various murals, ancient graffitti and various houses that we visited for the entire day. Finally, took the subway back to Naples from Pompei at around 5:00 and had to wait to take a train at 6:30 from Napoli back to Roma. Problem! We had to take a locals train which meant that the trip took 3-1/2 hours... AHHH Im so sick of trains and looking forward to an easy day of nothing but sleeping and staying off my feet!
