Alright, so I actually lied about that whole Grand Canyon thing.... we're gonna head there tomorrow because we spent so much dang time in Sedona today..... but it's just so darn pretty! You can't really help it.... the pictures will speak for themselves.

Anywho, today we had the best breakfast yet! (yes, I'm still talking about food.... those who know me should know I'm a closet fatty by now)..... We had french toast with fruit and yogurt and granola (yes! nuts and berries! the world is right again!). Alright.... in all reality that breakfast couldn't even compare to what we found to eat outside our room. Yes, a miniature apple tree.... cutest things EVER!

After breakfast we headed back down to Albuquerque in order to hop back on the ever popular I-40 (For the love of God...) We got to see some really cool things though. Namely, this awesome little hut on the side of the road, and the old Laguna Mission. After a few more hours on I-40 we broke out of New Mexico and finally entered the home of the Grand Canyon! (Arizona).

Once inside Arizona, we passed the most awesome city ever! Yes, I'm talking about Meteor City. I mean who doesn't want to hang out there?? Not too long after... (okay, like a few hours later) we made it to Flagstaff, and eventually headed down the 20 something miles of winding rocky passes to Sedona. This place was absolutely incredible! The rocks are so breathtaking and absolutely amazing!

We took a quick look at Oak Creek and the Coconino National Forest and eventually headed down to the Crescent Moon Ranch and Red Rock Crossings where we hiked around and took a bevy of pictures.

On our way back out of Sedona, we actually stopped at the airport restaurant for dinner. We (once again) had to drive up this absolutely crazy hill to get there. The whole situation was kinda nuts-so really. I was blinded by the setting sun driving thousands of feet up on a two lane road on the side of a cliff... I'm pretty sure my mom had a small coronary....or maybe piddled just a little....

Anyway, we got there..... and just in time to have dinner looking out over all the red rocks at sunset! I mean really.... it was worth every crazy near death experience. Seriously.

Continuing on..... as promised, here are just a few more random quotes of the day: (or conversations, if you will)

Amanda: "does your towel smell like maple syrup?"
mom: "no, I think the Residence Inn just knows how much you like pancakes.... so they went the extra mile and dipped your towel in pancake syrup.... "
Amanda: "God. They're SO accomodating :)"

Later that day: (as Amanda is driving)
Amanda: "Oh! get a picture of that!"
mom: [snaps picture] "oh, I didn't get it"
Amanda: "Oh! can you get a picture of that?"
mom: [snaps picture] "oh, I didn't get it.... man! what do you call it when someone is slow at something?"
Amanda: "challenged"
mom: "yeah, I'm photographically challenged."

Alright! Tomorrow.... Grand Canyon (for real this time!)
