Well today marked round two on the belgium waffle breakfast! After breakfast, we left Memphis blarin' the blues in the big blue (she's normally small, but she's kinda full right now....) and headed towards Oklahoma City on I-40. We crossed over the Mississippi River which split Tennessee and Arkansas and then after only 2 hours we decided that we were in desperate need of some coffee and headed into Little Rock, AR to the nearest Starbucks. On our way to the "best neighborhood espresso" we passed the state capitol building and Bill Clinton's house! (ok, not really about the Bill Clinton part.... ). After getting our much needed coffee, we attempted to get back on the road only to be sent in circles by our handy GPS navigator. "She" politely sent us right, and then "at the end of the road" right again, followed by another right......... after ending up in some backtown "Obama country" neighborhood we began to question "her" intelligence.

Navigator: "turn right, then turn right, then at the end of the road turn right."
Amanda: "Where the crap are we going? This lady is RIDICULOUS!"
Jenny: "I know, but she's always RIGHT..." (spoken imitating the navigator's voice)

After FINALLY getting back on I-40 we headed again for Oklahoma City (only 6 more hours to go!) A few hilarious road signs, some decent scenery and 8 million hours later.... we hit Oklahoma City.

Once there, we grabbed some delicious mexican food in Bricktown and walked around downtown for a bit. We checked out the bricktown canal, some pretty neat old buildings, the local starbucks (yes, more Starbucks), and ran with the local heard of buffalo.

After Oklahoma city, it's on to AMARILLO, TX! (Why not drive 4 more hours after dinner ????) Probably not a good plan........

P.S. The winner of yesterday's quote of the day is:

"We're tourists. Get used to it!"

Today's selection to follow......
