On Sunday, we ventured to Blarney. I was surprised to see that there was a whole park area that surrounded the Blarney Castle. There was a lot more to it than just the stone.
We started off underneath the Blarney Castle. There were small caves that were really cool to walk/crawl through. There were 8 people that I went with and we all branched off at this point because a lot of them didn't want to do the caves. Typically I was taking a lot of pictures and left the caves last. Everyone was waiting for me around the corner but I didn't see them so I decided to climb up the Blarney Castle alone thinking they were up there. After getting to the top and asking the old Irish man if he had seen them I realized they hadn't gone up yet. I figured I would kiss the stone because I was already up there. It was much scarier than I thought! I assumed you leaned back and kissed the stone but you actually drop down the side of the castle a little so you can actually reach it.
When I made it down I found everyone outside and headed right back up to do it with them. I heard it was bad luck to kiss it twice so I just took pictures for everyone ;).
After the castle we walked to the rock close which had the wishing steps. If you walk up and down backwards a wish will supposedly come true. As silly as it sounds, of course we all did it.
After a cold day of walking around Blarney we all went to a nice pub in the center of the town for some food.

did you sterilize your mouth after you kissed the stone????
Nope! :) There is a dark stain over the center of the stone from all the people kissing it ;)
