Full-on tropical island vacation

Of all the islands we visited, I liked Koh Phangan the best. We arrived on the island in the morning of Sunday, September 6. From the ferry terminal, we rented a motorbike and set off in search of our main reason for coming to the island in the first place: kiteboarding. There are two companies on the island that rent equipment, and we rented a bungalow on the beach right next to one of them.

We spent the next few days in full-on tropical island vacation mode: kiteboarding, laying in hammocks, reading novels, exploring the island by motorbike (it was possible to drive—at a leisurely pace—from one end of the island to the other in about forty-five minutes). There was a good selection of stores and restaurants all over, and life moved at a leisurely pace. It was great.
