This morning we went straight to universal studios to start our day of fun. We went on all the rides, except for the ones we had already done at the LA Universal. The Orlando Universal was a lot bigger but it didn't have the studio tour so we were glad we got to do both parks. The rides we did here that were not at LA were: men in black alien attack, terminator 2, riptide rock it rollercoaster, twister, despicable me minion mayhem and disaster!

We stopped for lunch around 1pm in the Simpsons village as this is one of Paul's favourite TV shows. Paul got a burger combo from Krusty Burger- he was so excited, like a kid in a candy store! I had a turkey and salad wrap from "Lisa's tea house." Everywhere to eat in the Simpson village was a place in the show or based on a character which was pretty cool. Everything was bright and colourful and I loved that the workers all played the part.

After lunch we went to the theme park across the road called "Islands of adventure." This was like another universal but aimed more for adults. The rides were a bit more intense and had way more rollercoasters than simulators. I love rollercoasters. Some of the rides we went on were the hulk coaster, storm force acceleration, Spider-Man ride and Harry potter coaster!

We went through the Jurassic park village which was great- we saw dinosaur exhibits and displays before heading into the Harry Potter park with castles, wands, displays, rides and above anything else Butter Beer. I'm not gonna lie- I haven't seen or read anything Harry Potter so I didn't get too excited but Paul loved it (even bought two wands!). We tried the butter beer which was delicious- a combination of creaming soda and butterscotch! It was quite busy in the theme parks today but we had VIP passes which allowed us to jump the queue on all the rides and shows which was a real blessing. It saved us so much time and patience.

We hardly stopped all day and would definitely have done a few kms! We left Islands of Adventure around 4.30pm but we had a dinner reservation at NBA City at 8pm so we had a few hours to kill. We went for a stroll along the citywalk which is the cooler strip of shopping, nightclubs, bars, restaurants- even a bowling ally and mini golf. I had sore feet and we were a little cold, so we decided to catch a movie- Wolf of Wall Street with Leo DiCaprio. Paul liked it- I didn't and it went forever- over 3hours. We didn't get to see the last ten or so minutes because we had to get to our reservation- I was happy to leave haha sitting still for a normal length movie is hard enough for me!

We wandered back through city walk to NBA city for dinner. This was an NBA themed restaurant with courts out front, hoops inside, a team store, bball court flooring, TVs playing love games at each booth and heaps of memorabilia around the place. The food was incredible- I had a delicious chicken salad with a peanut vinegar dressing. We had every intention of staying for dessert and cocktail but we were so full from our shared entree and meals that we couldn't eat another thing.

We caught a cab back to our hotel then walked back across the road to the outlet shops for Paul to pick up a few gifts for family. When we finally made it home, we packed our cases (all 3!) and fell asleep. We have done so much shopping and have three very full, very heavy cases. We may have to post some stuff home from Miami- out next stop!

Goodnight x
