This morning we left Lake Tahoe for San Francisco! I must admit, I wasn't ready to leave as I was so awe struck by the incredible scenery and endless entertainment! However, at the first glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge- I knew San Francisco was going to be just as fabulous! Do you know that the Golden Gate Bridge is painted continuously! By the time paint crews reach one end, it's time for them to start painting at the other end!

We had lunch at the fisherman's wharf and Pier 39 where we had time to explore this beautiful city. I can't believe how busy it is- seriously it like a sea of people and was a struggle to walk from one end to the other- surprised I didn't get lost! We got to see Alcatraz from afar, sea lions (that stunk so bad!) the bridge and the beautiful pier! I so desperately wanted to try to clam chowder but it was so incredibly busy and we had a deadline to get back to the coach.

After lunch, we had a tour of the city. It is so beautiful with the most beautiful houses ever -they are built up and so close to each other but the prettiest of colours! We saw North Shore, Chinatown, little Italy, the famous row houses in Alamo Square and the city's iconic cable cars.

Today I phoned delta to see if we could change our flight from San Fran to New York from 4pm to 9pm so we could see the Oakland NFL game. We didn't have much luck last week when I tried but the guy said to call back 24hrs before the flight to see if there were any spare spots. The girl I spoke to today contradicted him so I put on my best teacher voice and tried to make it happen. She was so very helpful and allowed us to change flights for $100- I was so pleased! Now not only do we get more time in San Fran but we get to see our first NFL game! This is just another thing that makes my holiday even better! Good things just keep on happening: USA I think you should be my boyfriend!

We finally arrived at our hotel in the late afternoon, quickly got ready and went out for dinner in china town with the rest of our tour group- for our final night altogether! Dinner was an incredible smorgasbord of delicious Chinese food and wine! Paul went with the boys to watch the UFC fight so he missed out. It was nice being with the girls and getting a little too crazy with them!

After a long dinner we went to 'Kells Irish pub' for drinks. Paul and the other boys met up with us here to party the night away! We basically had the place to ourselves which was cool cause we all got to be together. We all had too many drinks, so much dancing and laughing and just enjoyed each other's company for the final time all together!

After a late night feast we finally crashed at about 4am! We are certainly going to be tired little travellers tomorrow. But adrenaline will pull us through as we have Alcatraz and the NFL game and then finally fly to New York City!

Wa hoo

With love, Simone!
