today we left the hotel at about 645. I was sooooo tired but dad seemed ok. We drove out to a place called CLIFF but had to stop many times on the way because someone would say something moved on a piece of milkweed on the side of the highway!!!!!!!! And we'd all have to get out to look and collect for a while. After that we headed to a small river like stream and had lunch and did some more collecting of course. It was fun but a lot hotter because we were in the desert. Dad threw a big dead bug on me and I refused to use the porta-pottie because there was a dime sized spider on the seat. Breakfast for dad was a couple of muffins followed by another muffin...not good, but edible and mobile from our hotel's continental breakfast. I had a pop tart. For lunch we finished off some Caesar compost with gatorade and a few hot grapes...yummy! We stopped collecting at about 400 ish and headed to the bbq. i socialized with quite a few buggers so that was pretty cool they are all pretty cool people. I commented on the number of people wearing white tube socks pulled up to the knees with sandals and hiking boots. Dad suggested I calculate the % of buggers with this fashion affliction, but I didn't have a calculator with me...suffice to know the number was close to 20%. We shared our bbq meal (2 hot dogs for dad and 1 for me) with about 500,000 small flies flying around and crawling on our plates, I guess they thought they were invited to the fly party too. After the  bbq dad and i headed home and dad hung out on the computer and found our camera tucked away in his camel pack while i watched the tube. he just left to go do some pinning with jeff and im watching tv. I really really miss heidi and you too of course!!!!!!!!!!! I love you guys!!!!!!
