On the trip to and from Tom Price the scenery was magnificent. You really wonder just how many photos you can take.
Our next stop was Onslow. We had been told that it was a sleepy little fishing village and that is exactly what it was. We hardly saw anyone, the main street was abandoned, there was one shop opened but as we had travelled around 500kms from Tom Price we were ready to set up camp for the night. The first thing we were told was to watch out for the sand flies, not sure how you watch out for them when you can't even see them. Of course from that moment on we were scratching although fortunately we didn't have any bites to show for it. In the shower I could see something on my foot, but not having my glasses on thought it was a moth, then it jumped further up my leg and it was a bloody frog. You can imagine the commotion that took place to get it out of the shower.
Tonight is probably the hottest night we have had. Apparently it was 38 degrees in the shade.
We look forward to moving on to Karratha tomorrow.
