Where I stayed
Palm Beach Caravan Holiday Village

For the past couple of weeks we have stayed in quiet little coastal towns but today we headed north and so began the onset of the heavy traffic. We went through Bunbury which has a population of nearly 55,000 and then Mandurah, population of 67,000 and ended up in Rockingham which is just 50kms south of Perth. Our plan is to go on to Fremantle tomorrow and leave the car at a caravan park and do some sightseeing by public transport. Both driver and co-pilot tend to get a "little stressed" under the pressure of heavy traffic and not knowing where we are going. We even have the GPS confused at times.
After a swim in the ocean and a visit to Cape Peron we settled down for a quiet night.
We have a couple from Warrnambool camping beside us tonight. Julie used to run the newsagency in Penshurst before moving to Warrnambool.
Another milestone today, we passed another vehicle, just a small truck but that makes 2 trucks and one campervan (passed the same one 3 times going across the Nullarbor) for the whole trip so far.

Hi Annie, glad you are following us. We are loving every day, can't believe that we are into our 5th week already.
We are slowly making our way up to Wally and will give you a ring when we get closer. Say Hi to all.

Hi Wendy & Ray, Isn't it a great country! Watching your travels and thoroughly enjoying photos. If you see any blue and yellow trucks with Hamdens (I think thats how you spell it) they are who Paul drives for - he travels all over the country - xcept Vic of course, so you might come across him - usually at least 2 trailers with big loads, often escorted. Looking forward to hearing your next entry. Love and safe travel, Annette & Lance

Hi Annette and Lance
Great to hear from you. It sure is a wonderful country. We are loving every day.
Of course every truck we see from now on will have Paul as the driver.
Looking forward to hearing about your trip to New Zealand. When we get home you will have to come down and stay the night and we can exchange our experiences.
Tale care Wendy and Ray
