Today we headed for Walpole and to the renowned area of the Valley of the Gaints where we experienced WA's world -famous tingle trees which are some of the most enormous trees in the world and can only be seen in the Walpole Wilderness of in WA's Southern Forests region. Some of the tingle trees can have a girth of 25 metres.
We went on the Tree Top Walk which soars 40 metres high into the tingle canopy. I can tell you that the knuckles were very white for some time from holding on the railing. Ray's comment "if only this b...... thing would stop swaying it would be OK" . Well we survived and actually enjoyed the walk.
Walpole is an interesting place with all the conveniences that we required. The caravan park was again a great park set amidst gum trees. The couple that are managing the park were from Angelsea.
