Well the weather in Vancouver has been very unkind. Whilst each morning it gives glimpses of a nice day, they all have quickly deteriorated. Tuesday wasn't too bad and Kaz headed off for an appointment with the hairdresser and I decided to walk over the Lion's Gate Bridge into Stanley Park adjacent to Vancouver. We have done a bit of sight seeing but not really on the go all the time, just driving around mostly and simply relaxing. Visited Horseshoe Bay where the ferries head off to Vancouver Island, very pretty and we saw a few cruise ships head off including the Zuiedeerdam, the one we cruised on previously, ours will be heading off soon. Have been fascinated watching the locals fish for Sockeye salmon in the river behind the RV park, would love to have a go but I think it may only be the First nations (Indians) that are allowed to do so.
Remember the film crew in the RV Park I mentioned last time, well they gave me a link to their movie "trailer", looks like a hit - http://vimeo.com/11770858
Today started off nice so we went up to Grouse Mountain but the weather closed in and we had hail and rain, dopey me in shorts and thongs, bit chilly on the pinkies. Everyday we have been able to relax in the hot tub then retire to the bar (picnic table behind the RV) for a couple of pre dinner drinks, the weather tends to be a bit nicer in the arvo. Tomorrow is Canada Day, so I may buck the system and wear my (thanks CSIRO) Australian T Shirt - next report may be from a hospital bed.

Hi Peter
When are you applying for the National Geographic RV photographer's job. There would be lots more wildlife opportunities and you wouldn't have to find an address back in Australia. Anyway this is a Happy Birthday message from Mum to you. We hope you have a great day too. Cheers Catherine
